The Canadian Brewhouse opened its first restaurant in 2001, in Edmonton, Alberta. By adding awesome talent to our team, serious dedication and persistence, and keeping the guest in mind, we’ve grown to 47 Canadian Brewhouses, 1 Canadian Icehouse, 4 Banquet Bars, 40 Plantlife Cannabis dispensaries, 7 Ribeye Butcher Shops, and our newest addition The Italian Bakery's Tesoro!

We are looking for a dynamic Graphic Designer who will be responsible for creating captivating visual content and design solutions that resonate with our audience and align with our brands. You’ll collaborate with the marketing team across seven brands— The Canadian Brewhouse, The Canadian Icehouse, The Banquet Bar, Plantlife Cannabis, Ribeye Butcher Shop, Tesoro and PG' Eh!—to bring our campaigns to life through innovative graphics, digital media, and multi-channel visuals.

This role will support design needs across traditional and digital platforms, including social media, websites, email campaigns, in-store marketing, and more. You’ll be instrumental in taking the lead on designing both digital and print collateral, supporting our marketing initiatives and helping to bring each campaign to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and visual assets for campaigns.
  • Design engaging graphics and multimedia content for use across digital channels (website, social media, email marketing) and traditional media (billboards, magazine ad,  print, etc.).
  • Create compelling in-store displays, signage, and promotional materials that align with brand messaging.
  • Ensure all creative is consistent with the brand's visual identity across all channels.
  • Work with external agencies, printers, and media partners to bring designs to life across all platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in design, social media, digital/traditional marketing, software, and AI ensuring our visual content is fresh and innovative.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content strategy and execution across all platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and design of annual marketing campaigns, from initial concept to finished execution.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • ​​​​​​​2+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other design and multimedia tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and how to apply them across digital and traditional media.
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and photography is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and creative environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities. 
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong communication skills.
  • Experience in the hospitality, cannabis, grocery or retail industries is an asset.
  • Understanding of print production best practices—such as pre-press preparation or wide-format output—is an asset, though these skills can be learned on the job.
