What are we looking for?
An Assistant Manager is dedicated to assist with the full operations of the store. Your primary focus is driving operational excellence, facilitating teamwork, and ultimately contributing to the overall success and performance of the organization.
What you bring?
- Proven experience as a Manager or in a similar role within the retail or grocery industry
- Knowledge of Italian food products and grocery operations
- Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes
- Familiarity with POS systems and other retail management software
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution
- Adaptability and multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
What you do?
- Oversee day to day operations of the Grocery Department, Café/Pastry Department, and Maintenance/Front End Departments
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues
- Ensure products meet quality standards and exceed customer expectations
- Collaborate with Store Manager on budgeting and cost control initiatives
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize freshness
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, implementing strategies for improvement
