Multimedia Designer

The Canadian Brewhouse opened its first restaurant in 2001, in Edmonton, Alberta. Through the hard work, passion, and talent of our team, we've grown to 42 Canadian Brewhouses, 1 Canadian Icehouse, 3 Banquet Bars, and 40 Plantlife Cannabis dispensaries. We are on the lookout for a creative and talented Multimedia Designer to join our expanding team!

We are looking for a dynamic Multimedia Designer who will be responsible for creating captivating visual content and design solutions that resonate with our audience and align with our brand. You’ll collaborate with the marketing team across seven brands— The Canadian Brewhouse, The Canadian Icehouse, The Banquet Bar, Plantlife Cannabis, Ribeye Butcher Shop, Tesoro and PG' Eh—to bring our campaigns to life through innovative graphics, digital media, and multi-channel visuals.

This role will support design needs across traditional and digital platforms, including social media, websites, email campaigns, in-store marketing, and more. You’ll be instrumental in taking the lead on designing both digital and print collateral, supporting our marketing initiatives and helping to bring each campaign to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and visual assets for campaigns.
• Design engaging graphics and multimedia content for use across digital channels (website, social media, email marketing) and traditional media (OOH, print, etc.).
• Create compelling in-store displays, signage, and promotional materials that align with brand messaging.
• Ensure all creative is consistent with the brand's visual identity across all channels.
• Lead design for digital and social media assets, ensuring all content is engaging and impactful.
• Work with external agencies, printers, and media partners to bring designs to life across all platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in design, social media, and digital marketing, ensuring our visual content is fresh and innovative.
• Produce and edit videos, animations, and other multimedia content to enhance marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on content strategy and execution across all platforms.
• Contribute to the development and design of annual marketing campaigns, from initial concept to finished execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in multimedia design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design skills (graphic design, video editing, animation, etc.).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and other design and multimedia tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles and how to apply them across digital and traditional media.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web design is a plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong communication skills.
• Experience in the hospitality, cannabis, or retail industries is an asset.
